Girls’ soccer rolls over Louisville 8-0

Braces from three Wolverine scorers led the girls’ varsity soccer team to an 8-0 rout of Louisville Wednesday, the team’s biggest victory so far this season.

Forward Courtney O’Brien ’15, midfielder Quinn Frankel ’16, and defender Lucy Putnam ’14 netted two goals each in the Wolverine win, with midfielders Mackenzie Howe ’14 and Courtney Corrin ’16 adding one goal apiece as well.

Wednesday’s victory marks the seventh straight game in which the Wolverines have gone undefeated. During its undefeated streak, the team has earned six wins and one draw, and has outscored its opponents 31-3. Now 8-1-1 on the season, the Wolverines will aim to keep the streak alive against Notre Dame at home Jan. 10.
