Girls’ soccer’s first loss given by Oaks Christian

The girls’ soccer team’s first loss of the season came Dec. 9 from Oaks Christian High School.  The team’s record is now 2-1 overall, but the girls have yet to play a league game.

Against Oaks Christian, the girls’ team has a 6-0 all time record and 20-5 all time scoring record, so this was the Lions’ first victory over the Wolverines.  The Lions scored in the 65th minute to defeat Harvard-Westlake 1-0.

Previously, the team had defeated El Camino Real 6-1 at home and Newbury Park 6-2 on the road.

The girls play their next game tomorrow at Mira Costa against the Mustangs, and league play begins Jan. 7 in an away game against Notre Dame.
