President Rick Commons and Head of School Laura Ross sent out an email to parents at 12:10 p.m. on Thursday informing them of a student's arrest.
A student was arrested at the Upper School by a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detective Wednesday morning, according to an email sent to parents by President Rick Commons and Head of School Laura Ross Thursday. The student was later released to his parents and has not been on campus since the arrest. The school did not disclose the identity of the student or the cause of arrest in protection of the student’s privacy.
“In case you have heard about this situation from your child or others in the community, we wanted to share what information we could,” Commons and Ross said. “Our campuses [are] safe, and the well-being of your children will always be our highest priority.”
The school is currently cooperating with law enforcement to manage the situation.
