Baseball eliminated from playoffs in second round shutout

The baseball team’s season came to an end May 26 when the squad suffered a 3-0 second-round CIF playoff loss to El Dorado at O’Malley Family Field.
Despite playing on their home field in front of a rowdy, alum-filled crowd, the Wolverines were forced onto the defensive end early when the Hawks scored three runs in a row almost immediately. Those three runs would turn out to be the only ones scored that game, as strong pitching from Cameron Deere ’16 and Gabe Golob ’16 prevented El Dorado from scoring more. The Hawks held their own as well. The Wolverines had several chances to score and even loaded the bases a few times, but they were unable to capitalize.
The Wolverines finish the season with 24 wins and six losses. Their only loss outside of Mission League play came from El Dorado today. Five seniors are graduating from the team.
The game was livestreamed by HWTV, and can be viewed here: http://livestream.com/HWTVSchool/events/4079963
