Prefect Council brought Sweetfin Poke to school Sept. 20 for the first Food Truck Friday of the year. Students were able to purchase poke bowls for $12 on the Quad during lunch with their student ID cards. Students also have a 10% discount from Sweetfin year round at the Studio City location.
Junior Prefect Caroline Cosgrove ’26 said her connection with Sweetfin helped her run the event more smoothly to bring an enjoyable event to school.
“I love bringing food trucks to school because it’s a fun treat and way to bring the community together,” Cosgrove said. “I have a good relationship with the woman at Sweetfin, and we work with her for all events. We worked with maintenance and Sweetfin to make the truck as easy and accessible as possible.”
Sebastian DePaulo ’27 said the food truck gave him an alternative from school-offered food.
“I like how the food trucks allow us to get lunch options that aren’t just from the cafeteria,” DePaulo said.
Darya Ghassemieh ’27 said she looked forward to eating Sweetfin at lunch.
“I’m really excited to have Sweetfin because it makes everyone happy when we have a lunch option that we’re all looking forward to,” Ghassemieh said.
Ruby Jacobs ’26 said she enjoys food truck days and is thankful for Prefect Council for planning the event.
“The food trucks provide a fun distraction from the regular school day and is something I can look forward during school,” Jacobs said. “I appreciate Prefect Council’s dedication to organizing fun community activities.”
