Students compete in math exam contest

Upper school students were encouraged to participate in the annual American High School Math Competition that took place Feb. 2. Last year, 98 students took part in the competition to see where they stood nationally among high school math students.

Two tests were administered, including the AMC 10 for 10th graders only and the AMC 12 for 11th and 12th graders. Both tests contained 25 multiple choice questions and were timed for 75 minutes.

Test topics included algebra, geometry and pre-calculus concepts.
