Girls’ basketball wins Mission League home opener

The girls’ basketball team won their first league game 59-24 against Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy Jan. 1.

This win resulted in the team accumulating an overall record of 13-1 and a league record of 1-0.

After the win, the squad now ranks 17th nationally and sixth in the state.

Jayla Ruffus-Milner ’18 leads the team with 14.3 points per game, 10.9 rebounds per game, 2.7 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game.

The next game is  Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. against La Jolla Country Day High School.
