Girls’ tennis dominant in first league match

After losing the first two matches of the season, the girls’ tennis team bounced back, dominating Immaculate Heart 18-0 in the first league match of the season.

This marks the third consecutive win against the Pandas in two seasons.

Players said the win was a positive boost for their mindsets and will help set a tone for the remainder of the season.

“Today’s match really boosted our confidence,” captain Lara Mikhail ’18 said. “We weren’t expecting a tough match at all so we went in already with a lot of confidence, but everyone gave 100 percent despite that the opposing team was super easy.”

The squad is looking forward to its next challenge after the dominant victory.

“Our team spirit really showed today too and everyone was cheering for each other,” Chloe Donovan ’19 said. “It made me really thankful to be part of such an amazing program with amazing people. I can’t wait to see how our next match against Marlborough goes.”

The Wolverines will play Marlborough on Sept. 22.
