Girls’ basketball continues winning streak

Girls basketball beat Valencia 65-52 today in their third game of the Holiday Classic Tournament, marking their seventh win of the season.

The team is now 3-0 in the tournament after defeating Ventura and Oaks Christian on Wednesday. Forward Kiki Iriafen ’21 scored her game high of 30 points in the win over Oaks Christian.

A tournament was scheduled in Santa Barbara this week, however due to the fires and destruction around Ventura and Santa Barbara, that tournament was cancelled and a tournament is now being hosted at Harvard-Westlake.

“It’s still good for us to get some games in, despite the first tournament being cancelled, and get ready for league that begins shortly after the holiday break. We also have a big tournament coming up after Christmas,” guard Ella Price ’20 said.

The team’s next game is scheduled against Los Osos on Friday in the Holiday Classic Tournament.
