Information Tech doubles bandwidth

The Computer Service department changed its name to Information Technology.

“Mostly because Computer Services for many years now has not really been accurate as we work with a lot more [aspects of] technology than just computers,” Director of Information Technology Dave Ruben said of the name change. “It’s a very old name so we thought we would modernize it, and information technology is a little more accurate and more up to date with what we actually do.”

In addition, there is now double the internet bandwidth available for students on the upper school campus.

“Now that all students are bringing their own laptops, we will have an additional 300 computers all accessing the same wireless,” Ruben said.
