Girls’ Tennis fights back against Notre Dame

The girls’ tennis team won against Notre Dame High School today with a score of 70-59.

Singles and doubles player Kate Konvitz ’21 said that she thought that the team did well and that they will try to improve.

“Singles sweeped, but I think that the energy and rhythm of the doubles teams should have been as good at the beginning of the match as in the final round.” Konvitz said.

Girls’ Tennis Program Head Coach Jelena Durisic said that the players need to focus on not losing confidence when the scores are close together.

We definitely need to utilize more of our abilities when the scores are close, and learn how to close out matches on opponents,” Durisic said. “We are working on different combinations, and the girls have to believe in themselves in order for those combinations to work.”

The team’s next game will be on Oct. 1, against Marlborough, who they lost to on Sept. 23.
