Boys’ golf still undefeated

After beating Brentwood 378-391 last Monday at Brentwood Country Club, the varsity boys’ golf team improved to 15-0 overall which includes a 10-0 record in league play.

Before the the 378-391 victory over Brentwood, the Wolverines survived a match against league foe St. Francis at Lakeside GC, narrowly defeating them 198-194. Wibawa took first place overall with a one over 36, followed by Scher who shot 37.

Separate from the team, Scher finished fourth at the 2007 L.A. City Junior Golf Tournament held on April 2.

Over the three-day  tournament, Scher finished with a cumulative score of 208, nine shots behind the winner. Because Scher was participating in the tournament, he missed two school matches.

The field included defending state champion Cathedral Catholic of San Diego and defending CIF Southern Section champ Murrieta Valley, with nationally ranked junior Rickie Fowler.
