Upper school jazz groups will perform in the Winter Jazz Concert tonight at 7 p.m. in Rugby Auditorium.
Jazz Ensemble, Studio Jazz Band and Jazz Band will play “big band” tunes in what members are unofficially calling “A Night of Jazz and Hannukah,” Jazz Band pianist Sam Lyons ’13 said.
“Big band is a lot more old-style,” he said. “It’s what evolved from orchestra into jazz music. Duke Ellington style songs.”
