Swimming remains undefeated in league

With preliminaries approaching, the boys’ and girls’ swimming teams have racked up five games apiece for their victory columns, and together the teams have suffered only one loss.

Regardless of its strong record, however, boys’ swim team Head Coach Dawn Barrett still believes that winning CIF this year is “not possible.”

The girls’ team (5-0-1) is undefeated, although they tied league rival Flintridge Sacred Heart last Thursday.

The team will face Alemany and Notre Dame this week and Bible feels confident about both these matches and the squad’s CIF preliminaries next week.

“I think we have a good chance to make it to finals with our medley relay, and our goal is to make it to the masters meet,” Bible said. “We did not win CIF last year because of all the setbacks with a number of swimmers, but we are looking good now.”
