Football triumphs over Chaminade 28-13

In the final nonleague game of the season, the Wolverines football team triumphed over Chaminade, 28-13. With the win, the Wolverines have a record of 3-1-1.

Wide receiver Corey Vann ’09 reeled in three touchdowns in the victory from senior quarterback Sean Berman. Jackson Liguori ’10 also scored a touchdown off a Berman pass.

Running back TeRhon O’Neal ‘09 rushed for 200 yards, but did not manage to cross the end zone.

The game was Chaminade’s homecoming and as a result, they were “really fired up at the beginning,” starting center Jake Lasker ‘10 said.

Chaminade got out to a quick 10-0 lead in the first quarter. However, the Wolverines fought back to make the score 14-10 in their favor. They didn’t lose the lead for the rest of the game.

The Wolverines play their next game at Ted Slavin field on Oct. 18, when they will open league play against St. Bernard during the Homecoming event.
