Girls’ basketball defeats Antelope Valley in CIF quarterfinals

The girls’ basketball team is one win away from another CIF championship game.  After beating Antelope Valley yesterday, 79-68, the team advances to the semifinals Friday. They will play Oak Park at Notre Dame high school on Saturday.

The team pulled ahead by 17 points within the first ten minutes of the game. However, Antelope Valley battled back and after being behind by 20 points at the end of the third quarter, was able to finish out the game with an 11 point loss.

This game marked the Wolverines’ 24th win in a row, and gave the team a 28-1 overall record, losing only to Mater Dei, a team ranked number one in the nation.
