Football kicker Will Oliver ’11 committed to play for the University of Colorado at Boulder last week after entertaining scholarship offers from Colorado, the University of Maryland, and Fresno State and a preferred walk-on offer from the University of California Berkeley.
He said he chose Colorado because it has a “good business school,” because he will get the chance to play football in the new Pac-12 Conference, and because he feels he can get a great overall college experience at Colorado. He will kick field goals and take kickoffs and will compete for a punting spot, though he was not recruited to punt.
Oliver kicked 33 touchbacks in 10 games this season and made 6 field goals. He will officially sign with Colorado tomorrow morning at 7 a.m.
