The varsity girls’ soccer team went to the Children’s Hospital Cancer Ward to deliver blankets as a community service project on May 21.
“This is the fifth year that we’re doing this,” Head Coach Richard Simms said. “We took two of the fleeces, put them together, tied them, and designed the edges of the blankets back in January during the soccer season.”
Around 75 girls were involved in the project, which started in January. About half of the varsity team went to the hospital and delivered the 50 fleece blankets they made.
