Josh Hearlihy ’12 has committed to the University of Utah, a new member of the Pac-12, where he will be suiting up for head coach Larry Krystkowiak as a Ute next year.
Hearlihy averaged 16.8 points and 6.4 rebounds last season and received all Mission League first team honors as the starting small forward/ shooting guard. He also won all-CIF division 3A honors as well.
Hearlihy’s commitment is Utah’s second so far this year. He will join Utah native Jordan Loveridge.
Hearlihy plans to play the combo guard/forward position because of his 6-7 stature and his guard-like ball handling ability.
Hearlihy also received offers from Wyoming, Santa Clara and San Diego before ultimately committing to Utah.
