Girls Volleyball Loses in Mission League Opener

By Charlton Azuoma

The girls’ volleyball team saw its 47-match league win streak come to an end as the team fell to the Notre Dame Knights on Sept. 20.

The match was a close contest, but last minute errors and hitting runs by the Knights became the story of a long night for the Wolverines.

After leading 24-20 in the fourth game, the team gave up four straight points en route to losing to Notre Dame for the first time in 13 contests.

“Each year is a new year,” Head Coach Adam Black said. “Our goal is to exponentially keep getting better from the start till the end.”

The Wolverines will have a chance to regroup before heading into the Dave Moh’s Tournament this weekend.
