Girls’ Soccer defeats Notre Dame 7-0

By Michael Aronson

With hat tricks from Catherina Gores ’15 and Hannah Lichtenstein ’13, the girls’ soccer team earned its second shutout win of the season after beating Notre Dame Academy 7-0 on Tuesday.

The win came on the heels of a 2-2 tie to Westlake Saturday in which Gores and Lichtenstein were also the team’s two main scorers.

Tuesday’s victory extends the team’s regular season streak without a loss to seven games, which dates back to last season.

This was Gores’ second hat trick through the team’s first three games, and despite being one of the youngest on the roster, she leads the girls in scoring with seven so far this season.

The team will head to Oaks Christian this Thursday to defend last year’s 6-1 win over the Lions.
