Girls’ basketball falls to Chaminade

By Camille Shooshani

A succession of passing turnovers in the second and third quarter led to the girls’ varsity basketball team’s defeat at Chaminade Tuesday night.

The game ended 42-67 after the Wolverines trailed the Eagles by as much as 20 points at the end of the half.
A knee injury coming down from a three point shot in the third quarter relegated standout guard Natalie Florescu ’13 to the bench for the remainder of the game and captain Leslie Schuman ’12 fouled out with 5 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
The team holds a 3-4 record in league, meaning the team will probably not advance to playoffs for the first time in years. Overall, the girls have an 11-14 record.
