Boys’ basketball falls to Alemany

By Charlton Azuoma

The varsity boys’ basketball team, fresh off a thrilling comeback victory against Crespi on Friday, fell at the hands of the Alemany Warriors Saturday in Taper Gymnasium.

The game was close all night as both teams struggled to distance themselves from the other.

After the Warriors entered the fourth quarter up 56-55, Alemany began to pull away and eventually seal the deal 77-68.

Marqueze Coleman had a double-double for the visitors, notching a game-high 28 points as well as 10 rebounds. Zena Edosomwan ’12 was the high man for the Wolverines with 27 points. Forward Derick Newton ’14 chipped in 14 of his own.

The loss moves the Wolverines to a 3-3 league record and a fourth place standing in the Mission League.
