Rose bowl champion Oregon offers Oser scholarship

By Michael Aronson

Just two days after Vanderbilt offered him, offensive lineman Thomas Oser ’13 received a scholarship offer from Oregon June 20, his seventh offer thus far and fourth from the Pac-12.

Colorado, New Mexico State, Oregon, San Diego State, Utah, Vanderbilt and Washington State have now all tendered offers to the 6-foot-5 lineman.

The Ducks went 12-2 last year with a Rose Bowl victory over Big Ten champion Wisconsin by a touchdown to conclude their 2011 season.

Despite losing star running back LaMichael James to the NFL, ESPN ranks Oregon as the sixth best team in the nation for the upcoming season, the highest-ranked team out of the seven that have offered Oser to play for their respective programs.
