The Columbia Scholastic Press Association named the Chronicle as a finalist for the Gold Crown in its 2015-16 News Hybrid Critique for print and digital publications.
Results were released in an email Sept. 28. Winners will be announced in in March.
The Chronicle received a total score of 984 points out of 1000 possible, earning All-Columbian Honors in the Verbal and Visual categories.
CSPA also named the sports magazine Big Red and the middle school newsmagazine the Spectrum as finalists in their respective categories.
The publications will either win Gold or Silver Crowns in March.
