The boys water polo team beat Mira Costa High School 10-6 in their seventh game of the season on Monday. The team has improved to 6-1 this year and 4-0 in their league games.

Matteo Dall’Olmo ’22 said he hopes to continue the team’s positive momentum this year.

“The team is jiving really well, I think we have found our complete chemistry even after all of the uncertainties of this year,” said Dall’olmo. “On the play side, I think we have done a great job attacking goal but I think we could be stronger on the defensive side for our next games.”

Ben Oerlemans ’24 said that even in his freshman year he feels that he has been well integrated into the team.

“I was a little nervous to start on the team as a freshman, but ever since the first practice the team has been very welcoming,” Oerlemans said. “I am excited to keep building my connections with the guys, and also improve upon my own skills so I can make a large contribution to the program.”

The team hopes to build off this win and four-game win streak when they play Loyola High School at home on March 19.
