The boys’ water polo team continued a four game winning streak Thursday by defeating Damien High School 12-3 in a non-league match. This was the second meeting of the teams this year.
The Wolverines jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in the first half and completed the nine goal victory, handily beating the Spartans.
“I thought the team played really well today,” Johnny Hooper ’15 said.
The Wolverines lost to the Spartans earlier in the season, by one.
“We came out today and we crushed them, we played a lot better than we played last time,” Hooper said. “We have just developed so much as a team, we have a good chance against anyone now.”
The win improves the Wolverines’ record to 11-5 on the season as they head into tomorrow’s game against Miramonte in the S & R Tournament.
