Natalie Florescu ’13 committed to Westmont College, a small Christian liberal arts school in Montecito, CA.
“I had options from every division, but the Westmont community was just incredible and unmatched by other schools,” Florescu said.
Florescu, the starting point guard for the varsity girls’ basketball squad, got a feel for the school earlier in the year by shadowing a few of the players on a tour to the campus. She sat in on classes and scrimmaged with the team.
“My favorite part of my official [visit] was playing with their Olympian, Tugce Canitez,” she said. “She was the youngest member of Turkey’s women’s basketball team, and she is legit.”
