It’s an elite club that Henry Schlossberg ’13 now joins.
Schlossberg is only the third wrestler in school history to make it to the State Championship, a feat he accomplished Saturday by finishing in ninth place in the heavyweight class at CIF Masters. Schlossberg, a co-captain of the wrestling team, was the ninth and final qualifier from his weight class.
Charlie Nelson ’13, Schlossberg’s co-captain and a member of the 220 lb weight class, also made it to the Masters tournament held in Temecula, but failed to advance.
The State Championship is next Friday and Saturday, March 1-2, at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield.
