Four days after Austin Wilson ’10 added a sixth to the tally of ex-Harvard-Westlake baseball players in Major League Baseball, the MLB’s New York Mets recalled another former Wolverine, Josh Satin ’03, to the major leagues Monday.
This season Satin compiled a .305 batting average with nine home runs and a .491 slugging percentage as part of the Mets’ Triple-A team, the Las Vegas 51s. Previously, Satin has played a total of 16 games in the majors since signing with the Mets in 2008.
The alumnus’s return to the highest level of professional baseball also comes nearly a month after former Wolverine teammate Brennan Boesch ’03 was demoted to Triple-A by the Mets’ New York counterpart, the New York Yankees.
