After a 3-0 victory over El Camino Real in its first game of the season, goals by Courtney O’Brien ’15 and Mackenzie Howe ’14 elevated the girls’ varsity soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Oaks Christian in the Wolverines’ home opener Wednesday night.
Following a few close scoring chances that couldn’t be finished, O’Brien finally broke through late in the first half. Howe solidified the Wolverine lead with an early second half goal off an assist from O’Brien.
O’Brien, who committed to Princeton Oct. 19, now has 3 goals in the Wolverines’ 2-0 start.
The team’s next game is a Friday Dec. 13 matchup with Mira Costa at home.
