The girls’ varsity soccer team followed up its 6-0 win over Louisville with a 2-1 victory against Notre Dame Friday to move to 13 straight games undefeated.
A brace from Courtney O’Brien ’15 led the team to their 13th straight game undefeated, a streak in which the Wolverines have won 12 games and drawn one. Corrin scored early in the first half though the Wolverines were gridlocked with the Knights at one apiece heading into halftime. O’Brien’s goal in the early second half, combined with consant pressure from the Wolverines throughout the game, secured the Wolverine victory.
The win propels the Wolverines to a 7-0 League record with 3 Mission League match ups remaining. Now 14-1-1 on the season, the team’s next move is to head to Chaminade for a Feb. 3 matchup. The team defeated the Eagles 2-1 on Jan. 15th.
