With seniors playing their last game on Ted Slavin Field tonight, the boys’ soccer team closed their last home game of the season with a convincing 1-0 victory over top ranked Alemany
The Wolverine defense was aggressive all nigh and was led by goalie Ryan Shelly ’15 who saved key shots for the squad. The club was able to score late in the first half when Charles Du Manoir ’15 launched the ball across the field to a streaking Max Rolnick ’14 who was able to finish the play with a header. The team has won two of their last three games and has gained momentum in the final stretch of the season.
The Wolverines will matchup against St. Francis this friday before taking on league rival Loyola next monday to close out the season. Both games are must wins if the squad wants to stay in good shape for contention in CIF Playoffs.
