Michael Genender ’15 defeated Austin Rapp of Palm Desert 6-3, 6-4 to win the CIF-SS Singles Title Saturday.
“One of the keys in the match was when I was serving down 1-2 at 0-30,” Genender told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. “I came back to get the hold, and I just kept trying to stay with him and not let him run away with the second set.”
According to Tennis Recruiting Network, Genender is ranked 15 in the nation.
