After starting off the season with a loss to Loyola, the Harvard-Westlake football team has rattled off four straight victories after their 37-21 victory over Pali High tonight. The team will head into the newly formed Angelus League with a 4-1 record, as league play begins next week.
Running back Garrett Robinson ’15 led the way for the Wolverines offense with three rushing touchdowns. Marshal Cohen ’16 ran for a 63-yard touchdown on the team’s opening drive. The combination of Robinson and dual-threat quarterback Cohen have run Head Coach Scot Ruggles’ spread offense to perfection in the past four games, as the team has scored at least 34 points four weeks in a row.
Defensive end Olan Moon-White ’15 had a breakout performance on the defensive side of the ball for the Wolverines. Moon-White recorded five sacks and returned a Pali fumble to the house for a defensive touchdown. Captain Desmond Butler ’15 also delivered a stellar defensive performance for the Wolverines, recording an interception, a forced fumble and recovering a blocked punt.
Kicker Matthew Glick ’15 added a 40-yard field goal to the Wolverine’s offensive output.
The team will take on St. Francis next Friday at Harvard-Westlake.
