Boys’ water polo is top seeded for the CIF Southern Division I playoffs, according to playoff brackets released Sunday and will square off against the winner of a wild card matchup between Irvine or Millikan Nov. 12. The wild card game is Nov. 11.
Foe Mater Dei is on the opposite side of the bracket and therefore will not have the chance to play Harvard-Westlake unless both teams make the finals. League rival Loyola is on the opposite side of the bracket as well due to CIF rules about placing league teams on opposite sides of the bracket.
The Wolverines have held the top ranking in CIF polls all year, and are coming off their first undefeated regular season in school history, going 25-0 . The Wolverines played against Agoura for their senior night Nov. 8 and beat them 23-8.
