Whitney Enenstein ’24 released her debut EP “trust issues” on all music streaming platforms Sept. 28. The album was published after the music video for the leading single ‘hopeless romantic’ was posted on YouTube on Sept. 15.
Enenstein said she spent a large amount of time working on the album over the summer.
“This past summer I spent seven hours a day, four days a week in the studio,” Enenstein said. “It was hard work, but I loved every single second of it. Throughout the process of making and releasing this album, I have been learning about myself as a person and a lot about the music production, distribution and promotion process. And I absolutely love it all.”
Enenstein is a co-leader of the Songwriting Club along with Maya Ray ’25. Ray said she is proud of Enenstein and enjoyed listening to songs on the album.
“Whitney’s album, ‘trust issues’, is [an] amazingly vulnerable and honest collection of songs that I feel perfectly sums up her as a songwriter,” Ray said. “My favorite song of hers on the EP is ‘you and me’, and I love how the song allows her voice to shine through. I am so proud of her, and cannot wait to see what she does next.”
Rheanna Vradiy ’25 said she was happy to support Enenstein and appreciated the themes of different songs on the album.
“On the day of the release I procrastinated all my homework to listen to her album,” Vradiy said. “I was so happy for her finally releasing her own music because I know this was such a big moment in her life. I really love the interwoven theme [in] all her songs and the storytelling in them and it was just so fun to listen to.”
