Ben Hallock ’16 was selected Dec. 3 by USA Water Polo to be a member of the Men’s Senior National Team.
The team will train together throughout December and January and will play in an exhibition match Dec. 28 against Italy.
“It is such an honor to be named to this team,” Hallock said. “Ever since I was a little kid I have dreamed of playing for the U.S. and finally seeing that dream become a reality is something truly special and I intend to make the most of it.”
He is playing center for the team, which also happens to be his high school position. He is the youngest player on the 12-man squad.
Hallock is a key member of the boys’ water polo team at Harvard-Westlake, who recently won their second CIF Southern Section Division I Championship in a row and finished the 2014 season undefeated.
