The varsity boys’ soccer team won their season opener 2-0 against Cathedral High School at home on Dec. 2. Midfielder Tyler Ullrich ’24 and defender JT Federman ’24 each scored a goal. The team improves to an overall record of 1-0.
Ullrich said he is hopeful to continue the team’s success from last year, considering the current squad’s strong motivation.
“The whole team has wishes to continue performing well and winning games against top teams in upcoming games,” Ullrich said. “I think we have a really solid team this year and can do well if everyone stays focused on performing.”
Ullrich said his supportive teammates made him feel appreciated for his goal.
“It felt very good to score in our first official game and I really loved that the entire team came to the corner to support and celebrate my goal,” Ullrich said.
Their next game will be against Palos Verdes in a home game Dec. 5.
