The girls’ water polo team defeated California High School 14-7 in their first round matchup of the Division III CIF-SS Girls’ Water Polo Championships.
Harvard-Westlake and California led by three goals (8-5) at halftime, before the Wolverines went on a 4-1 run to put the game out of reach. The team was led by Helena Miles ’16 with five goals.
The team will play at King High School this Saturday, Feb. 21 in the quarterfinals. King is seeded number two in the Division III bracket and defeated San Luis Obispo 25-4 in their first round matchup.
