After being invited to compete in the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Weekend in early June, midfielder Phillip Thompson ’16 played on the West team in the Underclass Boys portion of the tournament from July 3-5 at Towson University.
Regional scouts selected players from different parts of the country to form 10 total teams of 24 players each that would compete in the competition. College coaches were invited to the tournament to scout and recruit players as well. Thompson and the West team went 4-0 in Pool Play, and advanced to the semifinals of the tournament. Thompson’s West team was knocked out by eventual runner-ups New Jersey.
Thompson, who scored a single-game Wolverine record 10 goals against Chaminade this past season, has verbally committed to play lacrosse at Princeton.
