The Wolverines came up short after a valiant effort against Palisades Charter High School, falling 30-13 in a local showdown.
The connection between Palisades quarterback Jack Thomas and wide receiver King Demethris quickly sparked the Dolphins’ offense, as Thomas found Demethris for a touchdown with a deep ball down the sideline early in the first quarter.
Thomas was dominant throughout the entire game for the Dolphins behind a strong offensive line, which exploited a size advantage against the Wolverines. Thomas had room in the pocket to pass and run for strong yardage.
The Wolverines scored two touchdowns throughout the night – one on a passing touchdown from backup quarterback Ryan Davidoff to tight end Solomon Moore, and the other on a rushing touchdown from quarterback Ellis Robinson. Penalties extended the second P.A.T. attempt, causing it to be missed wide left by kicker AJ Salo ’26. Davidoff’s passing touchdown was the first of his Wolverine career, while Robinson now has four rushing touchdowns in the last two games.
With the loss, the Wolverines fall to 2-3 on the season. This Saturday, the Wolverines will look to bounce back in their league opener against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary in front of a packed homecoming crowd.
