Auditions for “The Matchmaker,” this year’s winter play, will begin Monday, Nov. 11, with sign-ups for audition time slots starting Monday, Oct. 28. Students will be allowed to select for themselves the material they will audition on from the play.
Each audition will last five minutes. The audition material from the play will take up half, and the rest of the time will be for talking with performing arts teacher Ted Walch, who will direct the production.
Students will also have the option of auditioning in pairs, in which case the audition would last ten minutes.
“If you haven’t read the play, do not audition,” read a sign posted in the window display outside Rugby Theater.
Mudd Library will have 20 copies of ‘The Matchmaker’ available for overnight checkout.
The same sign notes that students going on the trip to Rwanda from Jan. 23 to Feb. 2 should not audition because of conflicts with the production.
“The Matchmaker” performances will run from Feb. 7-9, 2014.
