Juniors and sophomores have until May 10 to vote for one of nine seniors in the running for the George Coleman Edwards award. The award is given to a senior nominated by faculty and chosen by students and will be given out on graduation day June 7.
The George Coleman Edwards award is given to a senior who has “best served the School and his/her fellow classmates,” Upper School Dean Sharon Cuseo said in an email to underclassman.
Seniors voted during class meeting this week, but sophomores and juniors were sent an email ballot because their last class meeting was cancelled, Upper School Dean Mike Bird said.
Coleman Edwards graduated Harvard School in 1920 and his mother established the award after Coleman Edwards’ death in a shipwreck in 1921.
