The Parents’ Association Community Service Committee organized an Operation Gratitude event held Nov. 9 at the Encino donation center.
“There were several organizations that were coming to celebrate Veterans Day. We had probably over 100 people show up, so that was great,” co-chair of the Community Service Committee Mary Garvey said.
Operation Gratitude is a non-profit organization that sends snacks, entertainment items and personal letters written by volunteers to U.S. service members, their families and veterans.
