A junior varsity cheerleader broke two bones in her right arm during practice Oct. 30.
The cheerleaders were practicing a stunt called a lib stunt for the first time when the flyer lost balance, fell onto a base cheerleader and then to the ground. A coach called 911 and an ambulance arrived at school and took the injured girl to the hospital.
She has told friends that she will be in a hard cast for 6-8 weeks and will have physical therapy after it is removed.
She will rejoin the team later in the season after she has recovered. None of the cheerleaders or coaches commented on the accident.
