A bake sale sponsored by the Environmental Club Nov. 22 raised $900 for Tree People, a non-profit environmental organization headquartered south of the campus at Mulholland and Coldwater Canyon.
Students and faculty were able to purchase cookies, French macarons, muffins and lemon bars. Macarons cost $2 while buyers were able to chose how much to pay for other treats.
“The bake sale was extraordinarily successful,” club president Brian Adler ’15 said. “This was our second bake sale and we raised over 50 percent more than we did last year, meaning that even more money can be donated to Tree People. Needless to say, we’re extremely happy with how things went, and we’re even happier that students and teachers alike seem to have really enjoyed it. We owe our community a huge thank you for the support we were given.”
