The third Coffee House of the school year will be held Monday, Feb. 24 in the lounge after school. Roughly 10 to 15 students are expected to participate in the Coffee House, and the final performance lineup will be formed this weekend.
Despite student-only signups so far, both faculty and students are encouraged to perform.
Coffee House serves as an outlet to members of the Harvard-Westlake community who desire to showcase their talents or merely spend time after school with friends. Students and faculty interested are encouraged to contact Rachel Persky ’15, Greg Lehrhoff ’14, or Shelby Weiss ’16.
“I love Coffee House. It’s so nice to just sit back, relax, and take in all the talent,” frequent Coffee House performer Molly Chapman ’14 said. “Coffee House is also a great way to put yourself out there and know that you will be surrounded by this very fun and supportive atmosphere.”
Coffee House is expected to run until 6 p.m. and finish right before Peer Support. Snacks will be served, with coffee and hot chocolate from Coffee Bean and fruit, baked goods and candy provided by Prefect Council.
“I always have high hopes for the outcome of Coffee House because every performer is always so amazing in their own way,” Persky said. “It’s really an honor to be a part of the event because I love seeing our community come together and support such talented students and faculty in a comfortable and casual environment.”
