Students raised money for the Freedom School Wednesday by selling baked goods on the quad throughout the day.
The money raised from the bake sale will be used to fund a new book club for students who are participating in the Freedom School program.
“It was a delicious way to support a great cause,” Michael Swerdlow ’16 said. “It was well run and I fully support it. It was a cool way to raise money and I liked the collaboration between so many people on campus.”
A video depicting the children who were engaged in the program was shown during an all-school assembly to raise awareness for the event. Bake-a-Difference and Sloane’s Sweets and Treats supported the cause.
