4HandsLA performed “Piano Phase” by Steve Reich in Ahmanson Lecture Hall today for the study of aesthetics in the Philosophy in Art and Science course taught by performing arts teacher Ted Walch and math teacher Kevin Weis. The performance by professional pianists Danny Holt and Steven Vanhauwaert culminated Holt’s week-long presentation in the class.
They also performed Igor Stravinsky’s “Rite of Spring” in preparation for the 100th anniversary of the premiere of the Rite of Spring in Paris.
